I have a case number

Yesterday, after dinner with Meredith I arrived at my car to find my window broken and my bag taken.

It wasn't just a bag, the likes of which carried my computer and books. It was a treasure; a gift to me from my future wife. It took a long time to find before purchasing and many other bags were dismissed in the process. It was American made. It was of the highest craftsmanship. Not to wax nostalgic, but it was a legacy piece. The kind of object your grandchildren revel over as it is passed down through the generations. While it's original price tag was certainly not inexpensive, it maintained the kind of value that can't be measured over 50 years.

The thought of losing not only my bag, but also my computer and camera which contained pictures from the last year is hard to come to grips with. I could care less about the hardware. It's annoying, but they're replaceable. However, I'm not sure there's a sum I wouldn't pay to regain those images.

I kinda thought the bag was going to be the hardest thing to lose. I know this is more than a mild annoyance and that it's not about stuff.
